So do you think USP will drop out of the Top 20 now?

Looks like Lafayette is this years top dog.

Gonna be a tough call. They've lost three games now. But, they've lost to good teams. They've not lost to any slackers, their record certainly dosen't deserve to be in the Top 20, but considering the entire body of work - schedule, talent, and an objective look at other top teams, not sure there are 20 schools in the state that could beat them, but they may have 5 on their schedule that can.

They have the most difficult part of their regular season schedule behind them.

They shouldn't be tested again until the play-offs. In 4A in the North this year there are some other good teams - No. 14 Noxubee Co., North Pontotoc (7-0) and Louisville (6-1) are all solid teams the year. The best 4A teams in the South are No. 11 Laurel, FCAHS (6-1), Tylertown (6-1) and Mendenhall (5-2).

Being from the Corinth area, I bet the community of North Ponotoc is going nutts right about now being 7-0. Good for them!

Keep us posted Lanny!
