Stringer commits to LSU

Stringer Chooses LSU
The No. 1 player in Mississippi's Hoop class of 2010 made his choice today where he would spend the next four years.

Andre Stringer, the 5-foot-9 point guard from Jackson Forest Hill High School, and Mississippi's reigning Mr. Basketball, announced that he would be attending LSU on next year at an afternoon press conference at Forest Hill.
"I felt like Trent Johnson had my best interest at heart." Stringer said. "At the end of the day I felt like he wanted me the most and I felt like LSU was be the place for me."
Ranked No. 1 in our Mississippi class of 2010 rankings, Stringer is the 93rd ranked player in the country in the Rivals.com rankings and is the 22nd ranked point guard.
He average 25 points, 7 assists and 3 steals while leading Forest Hill to a 29-6 record and the finals of the 4A State Championship Tournament.
Stringer who is already qualified says that he choose LSU over offers from Alabama, Tennessee, Marquette and Southern Cal.
