She Got Game

The first ever She Got Game Elite Exposure Camp was held this past Saturday at the MBA athletic facility in Jackson and an outstanding group of young ladies showed up to put their games on display in front of the college coaches. Let's take a look at some of the top prospects from the camp.
Victoria Vivians - 2014 6-foot-0 Forward Scott Central (Forest, Miss.); Considered the top player in the state in the class of 2014, Vivians is a smooth, versatile forward with an athletic college body, a big time scorer who can shoot it from midrange and three point range, can attack off the dribble or post up, plays hard and has a good understanding of the game.

Kierra Jordan - 2013 6-foot-0 Forward Lanier (Jackson, Miss.); was in my opinion the best player at the camp on the day. Has a solid build and wide base allowing her to power her way for baskets but also has splendid footwork allowing her to attack from the high post off the dribble and be a good defender, great body control on her drives and is more athletic than she appears.
Kiandria Patterson - 2013 5-foot-9 guard Columbus H.S. (Miss.); A solidly built guard prospect who handled and shot the ball well, showed a good understanding of the game, when to attack off the dribble and when to pull up for the shot, solid build allows her to take contact on the way to the hoop and still finish, had an outstanding camp.
Keoshya Wilson - 2012 5-foot-9 G/F South Jones (Laurel, Miss.); Had a very good camp, scored the ball on the drive in the half court and in the open floor, a good defender with good anticipation, rebounded well especially on the offensive end, another solidly built prospect who can play through contact.
Jammieca Hudson - 2012 5-foot-8 guard Callaway (Jackson, Miss.); slim but rangy guard had a very good day handling and shooting the ball. Made good decisions in the open floor and set up teammates for baskets, shot the ball well from the mid-range.
Olivia Countiss - 2014 5-foot-8 G/F Brandon H.S. (Miss.); was the best shooter I saw all day at the camp, consistently knocking down jumpers from the midrange out to three point range, has a solid build and doesn't mind mixing it up, a solid rebounder.
Sierra Jones - 2014 5-foot-8 Guard Madison Academy (Huntsville, Ala.); an active athletic guard who plays all over the floor, handles well, shot the ball well from mid-range, a solid defender with a good understanding of the game.
Jaclyn Scholvin - 2015 5-foot-6 Guard Fontainebleau H.S. (Mandeville, La.); a small quick ballhandling guard who was the surprise of the camp, a great ballhandler and penetrator who got to the hoop continuously, played with a moxie older than her age group, shot the ball well from mid-range and didn't mind mixing it up.
Kristen Dixon - 2013 6-foot-0 Forward Choctaw Central (Philadelphia, Miss.); a long armed active forward who probably lead the camp in blocks, a good rebounder and runs the floor well, doesn't mind mixing it up and can score around the hoop.
Note: The camp was held on an evaluation weekend for girls basketball so the college coaches could come out but the results were mixed, with this open period in the middle of football season and official/unofficial visit primetime only a couple of D1 programs were represented, Southern Miss and Prairie View but there were quite a few DII and Junior College coaches in attendance an undoubtedly the camp helped some kids get noticed. However, Event Director, LeMond Roy, was excited about the turnout of players he had, over 80 girls attended the camp, and said that the camp would return next year.
