Rimmer makes commitment

After taking his official visit over the weekend Xavian Rimmer, from The Piney Woods School (Piney Woods, Miss.) cast his lot with the Moccasins of Tennessee-Chattanooga during an in home visit with Head Coach John Shulman on Thursday evening.
Since the end of the summer evaluation period Coach Shulman has made the 6'2 guard a priority and the fact that he was in Jackson, MS on the first day that coaches could be out closed the deal.

After playing his first two years in high school at Jackson Murrah, Rimmer moved to Piney Woods last year and had a breakout season, averaging 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assist per game, making the Clarion Ledger's All Metro Team and playing a big role in the South's victory in the Junior All-star game this past summer.
While Rimmer plays mostly the two for Piney Woods, Chattanooga plans to play him full time at the point where he can fully utilize his ability to break down the defense off the dribble, getting into the paint to draw and finish through contact while also hurting opponents with his outstanding long range jumper.
Xavian chose Tennessee-Chattanooga over interest from Murray State, Middle Tennessee, Missouri State, Wichita State, LA-Monroe and Texas-San Antonio.
