Just over a month ago the Petal Panther's brand new, state of the art football stadium was vandalized. The perpetrators spray painted the artificial surface.

On the eve of what will likely be the biggest game of the weekend in prep football in Mississippi, the Petal Press Box was the target.

Across the top of the press box large white leaders spell out "HOME OF THE PANTHERS". A can or two of red spray paint was utilized to blank out portions of the text which now reads, "HOME OF THE PANTIES".

No Petal officials were available for comment.

Petal who is ranked No. 10 in the MagnoliaPreps.com pre-season ranking will play host to No. 1 ranked South Panola tonight at 7:30 PM.
