Natches (4-0) at No. 2 Meridian (4-0)
There will be a huge 6A division opener in Meridian friday night as the undefeated No.2 ranked Meridian Wildcats face a talented and undefeated Natchez squad.

Natchez will need to run the ball effectively to win this game. The Bulldogs have had no problems in doing so in the first four games of the season. Larry Chatman has ran for 577 yards while Derrian Johnson has ran for 517 yards this season.
The Wildcats will need to tackle well on defense to get a division victory. The Wildcat defense is led by linebacker LeDerrick Roberts.
On Offense, Meridian has a variety of weapons that will be hard to stop. At quarterback, Jibril Cox is a converted safety who has great speed and a great arm. At running back, Michael Hubbard is a senior who has patiently waited his turn and is looking forward to having a great senior year. At Wide Reciever, Shelton Cole is a tall prospect who can stretch the field.
The Natchez defense is led by Charles Bates with 38 tackles, while Myron Anderson has 37. This should be a good defensive game.
This game will be a hard-hitting division opener. I see Meridian winning a close one.
Prediction:
Meridian 17
Natchez 10
