PERKINSTON -- East Mississippi quarterback Randall Mackey scored the winning touchdown with 21 seconds left as the Lions upset second-ranked Gulf Coast 27-23 Thursday at A.L. May Stadium. Gulf Coast got scores from quarterback Greg Jenkins and running back Jamal Young.
Special teams usually a Gulf Coast strength with All-American kicker Sean Brachel proved to be costly as East Mississippi blocked two of Brachel's four FG attempts and slapped down an extra point attempt.
EMCC moves to 3-1 with the win while Gulf Coast falls to 3-1.
East Central 35 at No. 5 Jones Junior College 42
ELLISVILLE – East Central all-everything Maurice Langston scored four touchdowns but it was not enough for the Warriors to knock off the home standing Bobcats. Jones used a late touchdown and two defensive holds late in the games to preserve the 42-35 win.
Jones quarterback Early James rushed 15 times for 66 yards and connected on 15 of 28 passes for 149 yards with three touchdowns and one interception. Jones RB Daniel Borne rushed for 105 yards on 21 carries and a touchdown.
Jones moves to 4-0 with the win while East Central falls to 0-4.
No. 7 Pearl River 37 at Hinds 0
RAYMOND – Pearl River quarterback Emile Jones passed for 247-yards and three touchdown, rolling to the Wildcats biggest offensive output of the season. PRCC took a 21-7 lead into the half and never looked back.
For Pearl River Jerry Duncan pulled down six passes for 93 yards, Devin McNair picked up a fumble and returned it 32 yards for a score.
Pearl River moved to 4-0 (1-0, South) with the win, Hinds falls to 2-2 (1-1, South).

SENATOBIA - Germichael Sanford had rushing TDs of 76, 1 and 1 yards to lead the Rangers (2-2, 1-0 North). The Indians fell to 1-3, 1-1.
Delta 35, Northeast 0
BOONEVILLE - Johnathan Taylor threw touchdown passes of 14, 45 and 5 yards to Cordario Calvin to fuel Delta's one-sided win. Taylor completed 20 of 29 passes for 227 yards as the Trojans moved to 3-1 and 1-1 North.
The Tigers fell to 0-4, 0-2.
Copiah-Lincoln 28, Southwest 0
SUMMIT - Quarterback Micah Davis completed touchdown passes of 78 yards to Jason Bruce and 17 yards to Haki Reed as the Wolves improved to 1-3 and 1-1 in the South. The Bears dropped to 0-3, 0-2.

CLARKSDALE - The Tigers moved to 3-0 and 2-0 North.
