Jeverik Nelson 6-foot-7 (2010) PF Callaway (Jackson, Miss.)HS.
This athletic, active forward who is a target of a number of C-USA and Sunbelt teams plays above the rim, plays with energy and runs the floor very well. He is a good rebounder who excels on the offensive boards. Still developing consistency with jumper but able to knock down enough to be a threat. Athleticism is what really make him attractive.
Tymond Howard 6-foot-6 (2012) WF Pearl (Miss.)HS.
Number one prospect in Mississippi's class of 2012 played very well considering he was coming off of the football field the night before. While he shot the ball just OK, he still was a dominate scorer and rebounder. Show good toughness and even was able to set up teammates for some easy baskets. His strong point or the day was his ability to get to the hoop and into the mid-range and score the ball even in traffic and through contact.
Jermille Fluker 6-foot-0 (2010) PG Long Beach (Miss.) HS.
Scoring point who can do a little of everything. Knows how to score. Solid ball handler, passer and defender. , good shooter with range to three point line. Showed a good understanding of when to score and when to set up others.
Xavier Rimmer 6-foot-2 (2011) PG Piney Woods (Miss.) School
Terrorized smaller guards all day using his quick first step and big body to get into the lane to score buckets or set up teammates for easy baskets. Good shooter who showed he has three point range on his jumper, also showed toughness and a willingness to help rebound. Solid defender.
Stanley McGee 6-foot-3 (2011) WF Pass Christian H.S.
Very athletic wing man who has a nose for the ball and a knack for scoring baskets. Scores in a number of different ways: offensive board, slashes to the hoop, off the dribble and long jumpers. Jump shot is streaky but has range and is a threat to fall on every shot. Good rebounder who plays above the rim most of the time
Derrell Robertson 6-foot-9 (2011) C Mendenhall (Miss.) HS.
Still developing big who had a very good day. Showed toughness, was strong off the boards and ran the court. Offense is still developing but did make some solid but raw moves around the hoop. Most impressive play of the day was during the evening session, on one play a smaller wing leaked out for what looked like a sure easy two but Robertson hustled back on defense and blocked the lay-up attempt.
Jeremy Newsome 6-foot-3 (2011) WF Gulfport (Miss.) HS.
Athletic wing showed a good nose for the ball and a very good all around game. Athleticism makes him a good rebounder and defender. Runs floor well and able to get to and finish at the hoop. Showed a streaky but developing jump shot.
Dekarlous Evers 5-foot-11 (2010) PG/WG Gulfport (Miss.) HS.
Undersized combo guard who showed toughness and the ability to score the ball and also set up others. Quick with the dribble and a good shooter. Crafty at setting up defenders for the drive.
Jonathan Caston 5-foot-11 (2010) PG Long Beach (Miss.) HS.
One of my favorites from the camp. Undersized but well framed point who really showed a solid all around game. Shot ball well and was also able to get to the rim for finishes. Good change of direction dribble and seemed to have a very good grasp of the point guard position.
Tarron Gilmore 6-foot-6 (2012) PF Callaway (Jackson, Miss.) HS.
Young big competed hard all day. Rebounded well all day and was very active on offense and defense. Hit a few jumpers and scored most of his baskets on hustle plays around the goal. Long frame and very good athleticism make him a very interesting prospect.
Dominic Davis 6-foot-4 2012 WF Clinton (Miss.) HS.
Long limed wing showed off a varied set of abilities at the camp. Showed ability to put the ball on the floor and attack the rim and also stuck enough jumpers to show development there. Was active all day using his length and athleticism to get a number of baskets
Treshaun Bolden 6-foot-7 (2013) PF/C Murrah (Jackson, Miss.) HS.
Young big showed good mobility and agility while staying active on the board all day. Showed improving skill set. Mostly scored of rebounds and slashes to the goal. Size and agility make him an interesting prospect.
